J'S RACING FL5 HYPER Intercooler
The J’S Racing High-Performance Intercooler has finally arrived!
J’S Racing and Yamato Radiator Manufacturing (DRL) collaborated during development. In addition to testing on a dynapack, real-world tests on both the circuit and street were conducted. The final design easily outperforms and replaces the original part with very minimal modification to the car.
The factory FL5 intercooler is not capable of completely dissipating the extreme heat generated by the turbo and engine. Intake temperatures can reach as much as 50-60°C (120-140°F) in high RPMs. *Ambient temperature 25°C (77°F).
The increase in intercooler capacity achieves a significant increase and more stable power during normal or racing conditions.
The new intercooler’s increased performance results in a cooling effect of ~5℃ at the lowest intake temperatures and up to 15℃ or more at the highest intake temperatures without any other supporting modifications!
Other considerations during the design process were weight and durability. We sought to increase intercooler size as much as possible while minimizing weight, ensuring the maximum performance benefit. To address durability, J'S Racing and DRL designed the outward fins with folded edges giving them superior strength without adding excessive weight.
The J’S Racing High-Performance Intercooler is compatible with stock and aftermarket turbochargers.

● With the standard ECU program, a more stable output can be achieved in the high rev range. However, significant power improvements should not be expected due to factory computer limitations.
