J'S Racing proudly offers an FK8 dedicated HYPER Springs which are the result of our relentless pursuit of the perfect balance between performance, stance, and comfort for the FK8 Civic Type R!
The suspension of the FK8 Type R is set up extremely well originally. However, when compared to the FL5, it tends to have slightly inferior road-holding characteristics, tending to be a bit more bouncy.
J’S Racing has developed a setup that provides more road feedback and confidence even with the stock tires, improving stability and cornering performance!
These HYPER Springs were designed to complement the factory's drive modes ＋R/Sport/Comfort, resulting in a product that has been meticulously focused on providing even better comfort and increased handling performance.
The ride height has been lowered by 15mm (~½”) in the front and 15mm (~½”) in the rear. The spring rates vary from 2.7-4.9 kgf/mm in the front (stock is 4.7kgf/mm) and from 2.9-4.7 kgf/mm in the rear (stock is 4.3kgf/mm).
By combining the HYPER Springs with the included bumpstops, we have achieved even higher cornering performance over the original FK8. This increased performance is evident during low, medium, and high speed cornering.
