1:1 Race Engines - K-series CSS Shortblocks K20 or K24
These shortblocks are for the 500+HP crowd using turbo, supercharger, or nitrous as a power adder.
The CSS (Cylinder Support System) is done by the orgininators, CNC Werx. We also have CNC Werx do the final machine work like bore, hone, deck, and O-ringing during the process.
When going with a CSS block, the cylinder bores need to be increased by 0.5mm. This is handled during the final machining process.
As with all of our K-serires shortblocks, we use only the highest quality components. Custom Spec Traum pistons, your choice of Saenz, BC, or Boostline Rods, and King Racing pMaxKote Bearings.
Final assembly is done in-house at 1:1. The block is then packed for shipping
K-Series shortblocks features the following:
- HD CSS installed. Bore, hone, deck, and optional O-ring for top of cylinders.
- 1:1 Tuning Spec Pistons by Traum. Dish, Flat Top, or +CC dome based on application. HD Ring pack and HD Pins. Forced pin oiling. 1:1 Logo Engraved
- Boostline, BC H-Beam, or Saenz S-Series rods - BL and BC for higher HP, Saenz for lighter duty
- King Bearings - pMaxKote Race bearings throughout
- New OEM Main housing bolts
- Rotating assembly Balanced
- Bearing clearances checked and confirmed for assembly
- Deck and Main bores checked for straight (repaired if necessary)
- File Fit piston rings
- Hot-Tank/Clean block and oil galleys
- Chamfer/de-bur edges of castings and housings
- In-house assembly and packed for shipping
- Choose between New OEM Block and Crank, your own supplied core, or a 1:1 supplied core
Typical assembly time is 1-2 weeks after all parts are in hand. With the CSS Process, the machine time is 4-6 weeks. Most of the time, we have the parts on our shelves for these builds. In the event something needs to be ordered, we will notify the customer. We use only the highest quality of parts for these blocks and they are built in our ultra-clean facility.
